Reading / Writing
• Each has her Master's degree in varying fields including Curriculum and
Instruction, Elementary Education, Special Education and Reading.
• Expertise of the writers. 1 with 40-years of experience, 1 has 25-years, 1
eight-year, and 2 ten-year veterans.
• The Writers are currently writing curriculum and providing reading/writing,
staff development for teachers, and modeling best classroom practices for Texas
educators.
• This group also includes an instructor who works with special needs reading
students and one who works with at-risk students in the area of reading.
• Our storywriter earned her PhD in Speech Communications and has spent most of her professional life as a college professor.
Mathematics
• A 16-year veteran, state certified in ESL, and Mathematics
• A 15-year veteran who specializes in working with minority students who have seen marked improvement in their test scores.
• A 20-year veteran with a Master's degree in Mathematics.
• A veteran teacher with 34 years of teaching experience in Mathematics, an expert authority in math curriculum development, instruction and alternative assessment strategies for students.
